A Traction Type Residential Elevator is a vertical transportation system designed to provide convenient, comfortable, and reliable movement between floors in residential buildings. It uses an electric traction drive system, typically incorporating a traction machine and a rope or belt suspension arrangement. Many configurations also use a counterweight to balance part of the elevator car load and support efficient operation.
